We are looking for a Finance & Admin Controller that will join the “Finance Department” of My client to be based in Doha Qatar. The Finance & Admin Controller is involved in the financial and accounting activities of the local subsidiary in order to guarantee and optimize the project’s financial performance and competitiveness to meet the needs of the In Service Support (ISS) Program after vessels delivery, based on HQ needs. In addition, the Finance & Admin Controller that has the responsibility to oversee the economic margin of the project, controlling the cost progress, evaluating events impacting on it and identifying the differences with the cost estimation of all the activities. This is a full-time on-site role based in Doha. The resource is expected to contribute to the growth of the organization capabilities and be part of the broader Finance team, to support improvement of processes and procedures.
Key Accountability and Activities
Implementation of financial accounting
Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Cost accounting and controlling tasks
Monitoring liquidity and budgeting, supporting treasury related activities and cash flow
Financial analyses and preparation of management reports
Contact person for tax consultants, auditors and internal departments
Optimization of financial processes and adherence to compliance guidelines
Interact with PM Team assessing the economic and financial risks of the project
Liaise with the Procurement function in the supervision of the supplier for the Shipyard and their costs
Coordinate project control activities, verifying and analyzing monthly deviations and proposing corrective actions
Requirements
Bachelor or Masters' Degree in economics or finance
At least 5 Years of proven experience in Finance Department (experience shipbuilding or naval industries would be a plus)
Strong knowledge of Qatari regulation
Knowledge of SAP and Office programs
Interpersonal and communicational skills
Planning abilities in order to ensure the targets are met
Analytical and proactive approach
Previous experience in working in an international environment
Fluent knowledge of English (both speaking and writing)
Arabic knowledge (both speaking and writing) is not mandatory but is considered as a plus
